Last night's live was UNREAL. 65 people in the chat, questions flying in non-stop, and I ended up going over an hour and twenty minutes because I couldn't stop. So if you missed it — or if you were there but it went by too fast — here's everything you need to know.
The Big Takeaway
Brand exclusivity is the game. Full stop. I'm spending £30-40K a month on brand direct and brand exclusive deals, and it's the closest thing to "guaranteed" money on Amazon. The strategy? Stop chasing brands everyone knows. Find brands NOBODY has heard of — small operations doing 5-10K a month who see Amazon as a headache. Reach out. Tell them you'll turn Amazon from a problem into a profit centre. When you stop competing on listings and start OWNING them, everything changes. One of my exclusive deals? The brand came to ME. That's the position you want to be in.
Stream Highlights
The Lego horror story — Someone I know had nearly £100K of Lego on a cargo ship when Amazon hard-gated the entire category overnight. No warning. No appeal. Just... stuck.
12 IP claims, still standing — I had 12 IP complaints last month alone. Not the end of the world. Acknowledge it, shift the stock, the violation clears after 180 days. Move on.
Retail arbitrage trap — One Hose Lock listing went from 3 sellers to 183 in two weeks. That's the reality of RA. I wouldn't touch it.
Start with £500 — You don't need thousands. Some of my distributors have £150 minimum orders. Start with secondhand books, build capital, then go wholesale.
Distributors over brands — Brands will probably say no to you. Ask for their distributor instead. Distributors just want volume and regular customers — that's a much easier conversation when you’re starting out.
ROI check — My US account is sitting at high-30s ROI consistently, with an average order value of $140-150. High ticket, proper margins.
March started rough — Stock was stuck in check-in limbo, then it cleared and I hit £1-2K days immediately. Patience matters.
Behind the Scenes
I actually jumped on early this week because I was absolutely shattered. Started 12 minutes before 7 and told myself I'd finish by 8. Hour and twenty later, I was still going. The energy in the chat was just too good to leave. Also — I got a galaxy gift during the stream and nearly missed it. That might be the first time anyone's sent me one. Unreal.
Oh, and someone asked me what colour socks Jeff Bezos wears on a Wednesday. The answer is obviously always yellow.
Don't Miss Next Time
I'm back next week — same time, same energy, all your questions answered. We're also creeping toward 10,000 followers (need about 141 more!) and I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to do when we hit it. But hey, we'll figure it out together.
The Royal Link-Up is also coming back this summer — date and venue are locked in, announcement dropping soon. If you were at the last one, you know it's not to be missed.
Hit follow so you don't miss next week's live. Bring your hardest questions — I want people to test me.
